Ya, and I've never heard an explanation for why god had to kill all the animals for the sin of mankind anyway. Did the animals sin too?
Not to mention, how did god screw it up twice. First he couldn't predict that Eve would eat that damn fruit and commit the "original sin", then he couldn't figure out that man would go all wicked.
Not very omniscient.
And why a flood? Why not some lightening bolts or volcano etc.
Just seems very inefficient.

Most of the animals that were saved are livestock animals and those that helps keep the ecology developing again. They did not keep the dinousaurs that may endanger their lives and eat more of their foods or themselves be eaten. Besides, it is only world of Noah (the only world they know because they were not aware there is a much larger part of the earth they have not yet reached) that was flooded and not the whole world.

I always get stuck on the fact that according to the Bible one of the first things that Noah did after landing the ark was sacrifice about half of them to make a "sweet smelling savor" to the Lord.
Okay, so everyone dies, and this jerk kills half the animals left on the planet for Gods aroma therapy... It's a good thing for Noah that P.E.T.A. and Greenpeace didn't exist when he was killing off half of what could arguably be called the most endangered species in history!

The idea behind God creating offspring off a surviving good remenant is a common theme in the Bible. Many times God destroyed Israel and rebuilt it with the shreds of remaing people leftover that were willing to follow him.

He could have recreated the animals, but thats not the point. What would that prove? He didn't have to recreat them. There was one creation and only one.

Because if he had done that then all the skeptics would have said:
" Why did God have to recreate animals after the flood when he could have saved a few and made them multiply?".

The same reason God didn't give you a cagillion dollars. Why not just save the animals?
It was part of God's savings plan.
You like to spend. You wouldn't be a frugal god if you were God.

He was the only person who made Him smile. I do not question God like that. This is His world, He can do what ever He pleases. He promised though that He will never get so disappointed with people that He floods the earth again...we have the rainbow as a sign.

then it wouldn't be a good story to tell children. adults ask too many questions about logic and reason. best to get kids used to not questioning things like religion early on. you'll notice religion is the main area of existance where we are to suspend logic, reason, and laws of physics.
