Phat, I agree with you.
You need Jesus, Mr. Darwin.

Perhaps some people are feeling angry and frustrated with the world or their life and are taking it out on others?

I think being mean to someone comes with the intent that you're attempting to hurt someone's feelings. That pretty much describes the point of being mean. I mean, can you be mean to the air? If you swing your fist at it, does it say "owwie?" No. The point of being mean would be to hurt someone else. So why are these hurtful people is what you're asking. My answer is from Sun Tzu: "Men go to war because they are enraged." So my guess is that they are angry and (oftentimes) sending out an inappropriate attack because they don't believe they can attack or address the real source of their anger or frustration. Some lash out blindly. Some, however, may be making their attacks more personal.

There is a lot of hate in this world these days. It's sad. Perhaps we should be asking and answering happier questions?

They probably don't realize that you are intelligent enough to actually answer your own questions and they seem to lack a sense of humour blended with a little common sense. People take life way too seriously, this forum proves my point. Yahoo Questions & Answers are suppose to be fun!

What I can't figure out is why on earth anyone would feel provoked to say something negative about you. After some 30 or 40 posts of you satirizing a person's faith, they have the nerve to post once about you. It is so insensitive of them.

I think that there are people who come on here purposely to be mean, because they feel so helpless in the "real" world. It makes them feel better, I think, to strike out at strangers from the nice, safe, anonymity of their computers. Bully frustration complex??
Let them vent, if it makes them feel better. After all, it can only hurt us if we let it, true?

People are mean because they really want to hurt others by their words. They have no intention of showing morality.

I don't think they forget. They sit safely/anonymously behind their computer screens and spew poison. They type things they would never say in person and get a kick out of it.
Kinda twisted really.
