I switched to Redken hair care products and started sleeping on a satin pillowcase (my hair slides rather than dragging across the rough cotton)...I also use heat as little as possible on it, and wash every other day (unless I get real sweaty/dirty)...put the blowdryer on the coolest setting that'll dry your hair...use curling iron or hot rollers sparingly (and when I do use them, I use thermasilk leave in conditioner to help protect my hair)...

I used to have bad split ends and now I have virtually none...my hair is healthier than its ever been...

hey hun.....well any of the creams or shampoos will work like Pantene, Dove, Suave,....but they all do the same thing...they will only glue the split ends together temporarily to make them less noticeable but they don't get rid of the problem....the only way to get rid of the problem is a good trim...that's why it's best to get your hair trimmed every month cause the longer you wait the more split ends you will get and the more hair you will have to have cut off during your next visit to the stylist...some other things that will help fight off split ends between cuts is to trade the brush (if your using one) for a wide tooth comb (and i know we can all use em' cause i have thick wavy hair and they work just fine hun) and sure make after you shampoo your hair out that you don't squeeze the excess water out before applying conditioner ( some how it makes the con. work better) and conditioner is key to protecting your hair because it helps the comb glide right through your hair there for preventing most tangles and split ends....and make sure your as gentle with your hair as you would be with a child's...it doesn't take any more time then ripping a comb through it and it's healthier and more attractive in the long run....love daisy

You can't FIX split ends, you can only disguise them. You need to get a trim to rid the split ends and from now on start using quality products. Talk to your stylist about what type of products are best for you. Proffessional products aren't really that much more than products at stores and the quality is better. If you really want to keep your hair healthy, invest in good products and get regular trims.

There are several shampoos and conditioners for split ends. The best thing to do is leave the conditioner on for at least half hour then rinse off, You can also use a Hot oil treatment.sally Hanson has this as other names also..Straightens,deep conditions, dry, damaged hair.It is for split ends..It doesn't take long to use . Its not expensive .There are other brands that cost less and are just as good..You need to keep using splint end shampoos and conditioners to help keep them from happening.

While some hair fall daily is natural, stress, hairstyle products and lack of nutrition can cause excessive hair fall as listed at http://tinyurl.com/kshvn . By changing your lifestyle and using herbal remedies, you can reduce hair loss and get rid of split ends. More details available at http://tinyurl.com/py7z4 .

a really good conditioner, if you blowdry your hair or curl it try to keep it to a minimum. but the only way to get rid of them is to trim them on a regular basis.
