Ok, here is something to pick your brains about. I have not had real sugar for some time, and yesterday (and yes, today) gave in and had some dissert with real sugar. My hands are tingling. Does anyone else's to this? I had it happen about a month ago, when I accidentally had some food with sugar in it (was eating at someone's house and they added sugar to something that normally does not have sugar) also. Both times I have had sugar, my hands tingle, almost like buzzing. (if you were holding a bee in your hand and it was buzzing) Or if you have ever held like a sander for a long time and the tingling/buzzing feeling in your hands afterwards. Any one know why it does it? My blood glucose is not at all like it used to be and really is not high. Like mid 100 (at the most). Heck, for years it was upper 200's to lower 300's.

I wonder if it has something to do with your hot water tank? You know you have to get those things changed every 5-10 years and I don't really know the consequences of not, but can only guess a build up of certain minerals that may effect your body's pH. Test your water, you can buy some testing kits in your local hardware store. Either that or you need to consume more vitamin B's found usually in not so over-cooked meats. The vitamin B's responsible for causing tingling sensations when in deficient amounts are specifically B1, B5, and/or B6, although since B vitamins usually work together, deficiency in one generally hints deficiency in others. It is written that when deficient, it is safe to consume double or triple your normal consumption of these vitamins, since these vitamins are water soluble the excess are just excreted during urination. Again, the B vitamins you are in need of are found in meats, liver, kidney, fish (salt water fish or fresh water), spinach, brussel sprouts, brocolli, carrots, legumes, most nuts, and watercress amongst others. Interestingly, certain B vitamins help maintain the body's pH. Still, if this is not the case, then perhaps you are suffering from a bacterial or viral infection that attacks the nervous system.

This sounds to me that it probably is not because you ate sugar, but could be assoiated to your being a diabetic. Diabetics tend to have problems with circulation to the limbs of the body. You should see your doctor , maybe your diabetes is progressing. And for heavens sake!! stop eating SURGAR!!! You know better!

As we age sugar becomes a vascular irritant. It causes inflammation of the the inside artery walls which can lead to Atherosclerosis also known as "hardening of the arteries" and other vascular problems.

Have fun but be safe!

No biggie, it's just the sugar making your blood pump irregularly. You should talk to your docter and check your blood pressure. Hope I helped and God Bless.
