My anniversery is comming up soon, what i wanting to know is, when i got married i got a wife a very inexpensive wedding ring and band because I didn't have that much income comming in. For our anniversery im wanting to get her a more expensive ring.

Would it be best to have the new anniversery ring on her right hand? Or could i have her have the new anniversery ring on the left, make the original ring a wedding band and remove the old plain wedding band? Need some suggestions.

that very nice. why don't you let her make that decision. maybe just give her the box with a gift certificate in it and when she opens it explain what your intention are and let her make the decision with you. maybe that ring she already has, has alot of sentimental value which you can't put a price tag. Happy Anniversery.

My husband and I just replaced our bands a couple of years ago. We replaced his yellow gold one with a more elaborate white gold band. We replaced my narrow yellow gold band with a platinum diamond band (princess cut diamonds channel set in 1 row) and then we took the original diamond from my engagement ring, and had it reset into a 3 stone ring (as the center stone) in white gold. I then had my original engagement ring set with a garnet (since we were married in January) and wear that on a necklace--since it's now too small for me. You can basically do anything you want, see a good jeweler who can help you. There are HUNDREDS of different ways to do this, have your wife help you out too, since it's going to be her ring. Best of luck to you!

Ten out of ten, shes gonna make that decsion for you. Play your part by giving her that ring and trust me she'll know just what to do with it. If that dont work, tell her to put the new one on and use the old ring as a charm on a necklace, that way she can wear both proudly!! : )

That sort of thing should be her choice. She may want the old one like it is for sentimental reasons. Why don't you buy the lovely anniversary ring and you and she decide what to do about putting them together and such. You are a sweetie!

I would let her decide.....she might not want a new ring...She may feel the original one is worth more then money can buy...Discuss with her and let her make the choice.....It is an admirable thought, but there are things more important then how much something costs...Happy Annerversery....Good luck

Yes, let her decide. It depends on how sentimental she is. I would wear the new ring on my left hand to replace the old one. Aren't you a sweet husband for doing that? I'll bet she'll be thrilled.
