Call the place where you were born and they will charge you but send you a new coy of your birth certifictae, I can't remember how much it is, I did the same about 2 years ago, it was definately less than £20 and took about 5 days to come through.
Congrats on your wedding!

Dont think you can get married with out it, as you need to prove who you are and were at birth, parents names, maiden names and place and date of birth. They need an official document.
You can get a copy of your partners birth certificate at the Registry for Births, Deaths and Marriages but it will cost.
Hope you get it in time, Good Luck

RE: Lost Birth certificate and need another copy fast? I lost my birth certificate and need another copy so I can apply for a passport. How do I go about this? I was born in Portland, Oregon if that makes a difference.

If you are in the UK you can order birth, marriage and death certificates online at
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/.
An alternative is to go to the local registry office where your fiance's birth was registered and they will provide a copy.
In both instances there will be a small charge.
Do hope this helps and wishing you all the best for your wedding.

You'll still need one, go to the births marridges and deaths registration office in the town where your artner was born, you'll need to fill out a form and pay about £10 but they will give you a certified copy which is just as good, they'll usually do it then or atleast on the same day!

Go to the General Registrars Office for your region or the office where the birth was originally registered. They will be able to arrange a new one for you. I would do this asap as all the documents need to be with the registrar in good time before the wedding for everything to go ahead.

You should be able to replace the birth certificate. Check where copies of birth certificates are stored in your country (it's the state capital here in the US).

go to the courthouse in the county of birth and get a replacement. You can call them and send them a check for it if it's too far to drive. Your partner will have to be the one to call or go get it though. Congrats on the wedding!

You can get a new one from the registry office your partners birth was registered at...this can be done online or by going to the registry office.
