There isn't a lot written about her personal life or how she built up her career but her books seems to reflect a lot about her life too.
In her book, “Do What You Love And the Money Will Follow,” she adds, "... to single women or those like me with a different surname than one’s husband." Only this gives an indication of her marriage status and her name. Also , she could very well be using a pen name not her own.
