I could only suggest that to be your first intuition.
Chances are there are first intuition we normally ignore and at the end, it proves to be the right thing. I am not suggesting though that you immediately have to cut off when it suddenly occurs but rather give yourself a chance to be discerning of any new thing that may come along.
Trust most of the time is earned and that is probably the only pre-requisite for trusting someone.

Trust and faith are interchangeable words. There are no clear-cut guidelines for when it is safe to trust someone. People will always let you down, but Jesus never will. I know that you do not believe in Christ, therefore I doubt if you can every trust anyone so completely as to not place conditions upon them. Problem is, they can and will violate those conditions at will. You are going to run into situations where you will have no choice but to trust unconditionally. If you have no faith in anything other than men and yourself, then you will be defeated before you start. The first person that is most likely to fail you is yourself.

The first condition necessary for trust, is that you yourself must be able to trust. You have to be able to live with yourself if you are wrong about trusting someone or something, or betrayed by someone you trusted.

Hoping the best for you...

Hi jim♥darwi...

Mat 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
Mat 7:17 Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
Mat 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
Mat 7:19 Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
Mat 7:20 Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.

Trust is earned. I tell you something, or ask something of you, and you are loyal to what is being said or asked.

So I guess my pre-requisite is loyalty.

Since people are more likely to judge other people by their own standards, I'd say that person who trusts is someone that can be trusted.
Did that make sense??

I never sought it out that way. The way a person lives their life says a lot of their trustworthiness.
