capital- assets, resources, funds, wealth, money, principal, investment! Is religon the true thing or are the more gullible being used? Are the modern people, corupted by money and greed, actually teaching you the right thing because they believe it or are they fooling you for the profits? Are the innocent used for a profit?

Religion is the best racket ever just ask Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson. It's the easiest way to make yourself rich. Hollywood is even starting to catch on, thanks to Mel Gibson.

I don't give to my church expect $5 on Easter and Christmas. I don't see why our churches, even though many are beautiful, need gold statues, crosses and lots of candles and flowers and stuff. Jesus was probably the poorest of the poorest. He wore sandles and a robe. He ate when His followers caught fish or when strangers invited into their homes for a meal. He slept on the ground. Why do we need all these things?! I've never understood that. I understand that we are to tithe 10% to our Lord so I do give to Salvation Army and Good Will and homes where pregnant teens lives. I croquet hats for newborns and make rosaries for the prisons. But I don't give cash to the church. They have lots of money and don't need all the extras that they keep on buying. Years ago our church kept asking for donations to put air conditioning in the building. It's a big building. Someone died and in their will gave a million dollars to the church. Now they have central air and tons of extras. Nice of that person, wished I had a mil. I don't believe what my church, priests, pope tell me because they for God's people. I believe only in God and I attend mass for the Holy Eucharist and other sacraments.

Religion as a capital was the done thing by rich Imams and Popes. So passe. Capital as religion of developed countries is the new duality. Wealth buys religion, where mobsters turn clean, and are forever absolved. Amen.

In some cases it does get used for profit.

Personally I have not and never will charge for any service I offer that is spiritually related. When I act as a spiritual director for a person I ask that they donate to a charity of their choice in exchange for my time. But, I never say to which charity or how much. When I teach on Paganism or meditation I only ask that people taking the class cover the cost of materials.

I'm a christian and I will readily admit to a lot of fakes out there. Believe me, I do know who they are. On the other hand, there are some who are honest and God is simply blessing them for their faithfulness.
