To me, age is just a number unless you aren't of legal age.
If you're 18 or older then you have the right to fall in love with anyone because love lives in strange places and you never know who you'll fall in love with... you don't pick and choose.. it just happens.

Too much is a problematic concept. There can be exeptions based on maturity or the lack of it. But the ideal is likely within 2-3 years older or younger. This gives the best match in interests, lifespan, maturity, friendships, and physical abilities all of these contribute to a stronger relationship.

If future reproduction is a possibility then close ages are best. There are now known to be significant health risks involved with reproduction for quite young women ( I think the ages were younger than 23) , and women past 30-35, and men past 40. These risks are to be avoided if at all possible.

The age issue seems to augur well for men because they can be in love with any woman except when one is below 18. For instance a man aged 85 years can fall in love with a woman aged 25.Although this freaks me out, it is happening.
Women on the other hand cannot fall for a young man with such an age gap,but some do. In all these cases, the bait will be money. The adage age is just a number was initiated by those who lust for young blood because the afore mentioned age gap is just incredible.

I think it depends on their ages. For example a 20 year old girl with a 40 year old man is pretty extreme. But say a 29 year old girl with a 49 year old man can seem alright. Even though there is a 20 year age gap in both situations. But in general I would say 10 years difference is probably the most. I would see no problem with a 20 year old male with say a 30 year old female. Or vice versa.

It depends. If the man and woman are still in their teens, the age gap should not be more than 4 years. I read in the magazines about these 20 year old girls going out with 60 year old men and I think is just gross!

Anything over about 5 years can be an issue. The greatest differences do not show untill the "golden years". however if this is a life decision I would be very cautious of a large agfe difference.
