If only I could. But it seems the faster you lose it the quicker you put it back on apparently!

Actually, it is not in itself unhealthy to lose weight quickly. The problem is just that your body will realise that there is much less food than usually and your metabolism will switch from "normal" to "slow", so you don't burn as many calories. Once you feel like your weight is fine and you start eating more, your body is still in the "slow" mode and all the extra calories will be turned into fatty tissue again. This is called the yoyo-effect. However, this only happens with irresponsible dieting. I lost lots of weight eating low-carb, and the first few weeks i lost 2 ponds a DAY without me yoyo-ing up the scales again.

It's not necessarily that losing that amount of weight in 2 to 3 weeks is bad for you, it that most people who try to loose that much so quickly do it unhealthily. Such as diet pills which can be dangerous, supplements, skipping meals, eating too less or even exercising too much that your body does not have enough energy to maintain its normally functioning systems. Such as its immuine system which helps to prevent you from getting sick by fighting diseases.
If you have 200 lbs to loose and have really bad eating habits plus don't exercise and you change your eating habits and start exercising you will probably loose that amount of weight rather quickly. I don't know about 2 or 3 weeks but it probably possible. However with that much to loose one would already have health problems to worry about. And are the changes you made sustainable.
But if that's all you have to loose (20lbs) and you do drastic things to achieve a rapid weight loss you are asking for health problems because that means that you aren't being unhealthy and you are risking weakening your heart muscle and causing permanent damage, dehydration, loss of muscle due to your body using it as a fuel source or simply shocking your metabolism so much that it goes into starvation mode. Your body likes to stay in balance so when you shock your metabolism into starvation mode it starts storing everything you eat as fat making it harder to maintain a healthy weight.
If you are eating the rights foods and getting a reasonable amount of exercise then there is nothing to worry about.

Loss of 20 lbs in a short period of time is just a loss of water or liquid content in your body weight... Most diet thingys just make you lose bowel (sorry for the word) and makes you dehydrated.... the best weight loss method is still exercise and decrease in food intake by choosing the right food....just my 2 cents

till u wanna be hospitalized and by no skill flow on the vacation i'd not advise this. devour no more beneficial than 1000 cals an afternoon and drink water continuously. And paintings out for like 3 hours an afternoon operating/eliptical and cycling. you could lose. 10 kilos... 20 only isn't conceivable till you're morbidly overweight

It's not necessarily unhealthy to lost weight quickly. The problem is you're body will think you're starving and start conserving food, which will make it even harder to lost weight. Also if you don't eat enough, you won't get the proper nutrients.

Basically it kills your motabolism. Your body will go into starvation mode and start eating your muscles and even organs. Then when you start eating enough again, you will gain all of it back, and more because your body doesn't know when your going to stop eating enough again

It depends on your initial body framework. If you're 170 and drop to 150, then yes you could mess yourself up.
If you're 460 and drop to 440......you body will thank you.
