If it were a real scientist, yes. If it were some yokel working for special interests, no, unless the outcome was favorable to the special interest.

All of the things that have been found hazardous to our health lately were of good use for the early people of the earth. Native Indians as well as the early Mayan civilization have proof of all tobacco properties are medicinal by nature and even used as a way to communicate with their spirit guides. China have been using for more than many thousands of years the calming effect of opium as medicine.
It is not so much as the papers that cause or death sickness to the user but rather more of misuse, abuse and excessive use of the crop that is supposed to be for medicinal purposes.
It is the same as the car that was primarily invented for just carrying people from one place to another that become a deadly means through reckless imprudence and adventures through deadly thrills.

Tobacco just as any other herbs is good for the healing of mankind. However, when these are processed and any form of additives are applied the true substance is lost and can do lot of damage. For example, the tobacco leaves has been sprayed with nicotine causing an addiction to human. It's the same with coffee and any other addiction.

Of course they would, maybe not all of them, but most would, and the first ones would be paid by the tabacco industry to go public. Which is why the probability of this ever happening could only be vanishingly close to absolute zero.
There were conclusive tests done with cigars and pipe, not to mention chewing tabacco, where there is no paper involved. And it was still toxic.

Yes they would. They would be hailed for proving the earlier scientists wrong. They would have quite a bit of fame to boot.
Chew causes lip cancer so I doubt you will get anyone to work on your theory.
I agree with the first poster. You think scientists would be ashamed to admit they proved 'god' existed. Not going to happen. She doesn't exist.

If they found out they would most certainly admit it. Science is ALL ABOUT PROVING YOURSELF WRONG. Thats why scientists are so weird... The whole point of science is to try to prove yourself wrong. When you cannot concievably prove yourself wrong, then you MIGHT have something, but you have to let others try to prove you wrong... science isn't about pride and glory. And furthermore, I don't see what this question has to do with religion and spirituality? unless you are somehow trying to imply the superiority of priests or religion over science?

Yes they would. Though I doubt they ever will find that tobacco is good for us.
