I met this boy at a party and it seemed like he wanted to get my number but he didnt ask. Fate had it we bumped into each other the next day in the street! and he asked me out for a coffee. we spent about 5 hours together, walking and talking by the river. We swapped numbers and a few weeks went past and a few texts but not many. he was on holiday and busy working but then he texted me and asked me out for coffee or drinks. I said yes depending on the day and we booked a day next week. he hasnt given me a time or place yet but we do have a firm day ! Is it a date or is he thinking just friends how do you tell?

I would consider this a date. He's spent a long time talking to you and getting to know you and though he's busy working he's still contacting you in one way or another. I would say if he has put in this time so far it is definatly a date.

I would say it's a date, but let him know how you feel or ask him how he feels just so there's no confusion. But if you spent 5 hours together and his asked you out again he obviously likes you in way or another!

Follow your heart. He likes you. you like him. Fix the date. And have fun. You are lucky. When ever i send my wife a nice text. I never get a reply. And that does pxxs me of a bit. And then i have to ask her if she got the text. And she just say's yes. Can you cheer me up and send me one. x x x

It's a date. If it were a friends thing, he would more likely ask you to do something with him and other people. He wants to be alone with you.

It's a date! Don't let it get you uptight, though. Sounds like you had a great time last time, so relax and don't get hung up on the whole date thing...
