I understand that approx. .1% have genuine medical conditions however the other 99.9% get there by choice. Why should that be promoted or accepted by society. I'm not asking for Nicole Richie anorexia, just that people be within the healthy weight range recommended by thier health care professional. Am I wrong?

yea seriously. I feel for all the people who have medical problems but most of them are just plain fat asses who keep eating at freaking burger king all day. When the USA is considered the fattest country in the world then its just sad. I dont have pity for them since they bring it completely on themselves (again, people with medical problems are an exception)

You ask why do people justfy a weight problem, I ask why do you bother pointing it out? I get that alot because I have grown a bit of a tummy recently. My neighbor just commented on it like it was a surprise. It's not like I just woke up one day and SURPRISE! it was there. I'm not necessarily in the "fat" catagory, but I admit I like to eat. I have nothing better to do, especially in the winter. So, why on earth does anyone really care what I do with the body I own? My last physical (last month) said my cholesterol was so low it was laughable, and my blood work declared me a healthy 21. (I'm much older, try 38.)
