I have looked in the Bible but somtimes it's hard to find the right answer. Any suggestions? Books in the Bible that Might help?

That's the problem, The world today is so afraid of not offending people or step on their toes. I understand that you want to example it in love. But people are going to perceive it in their own way, anyways. A lot of people have a hard time dealing with truth & that's explains for many reason they get upset when you answer them acorrding to Gods word. I'm working on that, to be bolder. What amazes me, is the people of the bible, they stood up for their faith, not like us trying to find the right words. It's not about pleasing them it's about spreading the word.

The more you fully understand your faith, the better you're able to answer the questions of your friends and others. What denomination are you? Some people blindly follow the religions of their ancestors simply because that's what their families have always done. But its important to seriously consider what is being taught and research to see if what is taught is accurate according to the Bible. Remember that in the past, many religions were forced on people...they may have had completely different beliefs prior to being forced to submit to the faith of a nation's royal family. It's not really YOUR faith unless you prove it to yourself first. So I'd say start seriously studing the Bible and you'll gain the ability to answer questions in the appropriate way. I would like to recommend a book called "What Does The Bible Really Teach?" It's a really good study aid and it goes over the teachings of the Bible and provides cited scripture to back up what is being said. I'd be happy to mail one to you if you'd like...but otherwise you can get a copy from a local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses or if you know a Witness (usually everyone knows at least one person who is one of Jehovah's Witnesses) you can ask them to give you a copy. They'll be happy to do so.

Just let God work through you and let God give you the words. Tell your friends to maybe read the Bible for more in depth answers and that your religion as a christian is bible based and from the words of God not your own. Good Luck! :)

Good question. We all have problems with this, so you're not alone. The only answer is to continue to read the bible. The word is the only way you can be strengthened in knowledge and faith of your beliefs. You will offend some, no matter how you put it. So I wouldn't worry about if your going to offend. The word of God is offensive to many who don't believe it.

Me, I would use a lot of mumbo-jumbo if I didn't know how to word it.

As far as telling people about Christianity, I would tell them that I believe in a magical land far far away with angels and spirits and when I die I'll go there and sing verses all day and get really really bored, and that will be my reward.

Since goodness and mercy are not their own reward, as atheists think, I will have my reward in a boring magical land where nothing happens and nothing ever will. Eternity of bliss where everyday is Christmas.

First off, people shouldnt be offended that easily, i believe. Especially if it's not your aim go offend them. Try to be guided by what you feel.. and try to analyse what you feel. Is it really something you feel, or simply something that was forced into your brain without any proof, and hence when you try to explain it, you realise you cannot?
Also, you are not expected to know everything.. so sometimes it's OK to simply say "i don't know". Especially with religious issues, where faith sometimes is not with (or is against) reason and/or apparently logical thought.

If only there was some other way, something like logical reasoning. Maybe something like facts, but none of that works with religion. I no longer worry about offending the superstitious myself. I think it's will past time for humanity to grow up and Stop looking for answers to fall from the heavens.

i am a spiritualist and often my friends ask me questions regarding God
i dont always know the answer ... but always answer them " in my opinion " followed by what i feel in my heart to be the truth

the truth is ... non of us know God ... we know what God is to us and how wonderful that is ... but even to quote from a bible or quote other peoples answers ... you arent giving what God is really about , God is what is in your heart alone .... and that is different for each person
dont be afraid to say what God is to you xxx

Just say its a belief that believes in the possibility of salvation for all people whose wrong doings done on earth, is made possible through the teachings of a saviour by way of repentence of wrong doings.

If you are a true Christian, then you are careful how you make others feel. Your answers should come from a place of love, not judgement.
