Prices quots are ok but in both case look for "eat all as you can" vendors - you can get a full day meal for the price of one portion. It is true for falafel and schwarma

Falafel:
One whole portion- about 10-13 NIS
Half a portion- about 5-8 NIS

Shawarmah:
One whole portion- about 15-18 NIS
Half a portion- about 8-10 NIS

One NIS (New Israeli Shekel- ₪) is about 0.17 Euro, 0.22 US dollar, or 0.12 Pound sterling, at the moment.
So: 1 USD = 4.3601 NIS, 1 EUR = 5.79854 NIS and 1 GBP = 8.2925 NIS.

If you are that close on money, you should not be going.

I do not remember how much they cost-------runs, in new Shekels, about the same as MacDonald's does here.
