Why can't I get a boyfriend?

I'm 19 and never had a boyfriend. People have always told me that I'm beautiful. I'm intelligent, outgoing, and confident, so why can't I get a boyfriend?

Part of the problem is because you are all those things, guys are intimidated by you and fear you will reject their advances, it is an ego thing. The other part is that it is assumed by guys that a woman like you would have a boyfriend, so they don't bother to ask. If you want a boyfriend, you are going to have to look for him and let him know you are available, unfortunately if you wait for one to ask you, it may not happen

Perhaps the fact that you're intelligent, outgoing and confident intimidates guys your age. Guys from 18-22 and even up until they're 25 are typically very immature and don't know what to do or say to an intelligent girl.

Be yourself, and don't worry about having a boyfriend, being single is fun, and you're too young to have anything serious anyway.

Well possibly cuz your online at yahoo answers to much to meet a guy. lol Sometimes the most beautifull girls have the hardest time meeting guys because they think your taken or will shoot them down .maybe its your attitude , and you dont seem approachable. Maybe you need a shower. Lets assume youve showered and your a happy friendly reasonably attractive girl, just get out there and meet people, make friends with guys and girls. Everyone has other friends as well so sooner or later youll meet someone. The main thing is dont worry about it and dont try to hard. When it happens it happens , in the mean time just go have fun , cuz things will be different once you do have a bf. The last thing is maybe those telling you your beautifull were your parents , and they were lying to you this whole time.

I wouldn't worry about. Guys have a special type of woman that they like to be with. Yes, you are beautiful. I am pretty sure that you get a boyfriend. You are still young. If ,you are interested in someone ask him out and take it from there. I hope this helps. Good luck and best wishes.

I got my first boyfriend this past January and I'm 19. I first met the guy in a high school religion class over 4 years before hand. Now i've known him for over 5 years.

you might be looking in the wrong places and maybe you have your standards too high.

You have to go out. Try to meet new people. Depends of the bf that you want, you can go to different places. For example go for a walk in the park(it would be better if you have a cute dog) For sure guys will try to talk to you, especially if you are beautiful as you said. You may find a cute outdoors guy.

Ahhh... everyone before me has hit the nail on the head.

You're "INTIMIDATING".... Guys just "expect" you to be taken.
Although... that will probably never change, it's your job to be the vocal one. So carry your pride and socialize. When you spot someone who interest's you... talk to them.
(ya.. it's definitely hard to do the first couple of times, but you'll get it)

Maybe those people are lying to you. Beautiful girls never have a hard time finding a boyfriend.
