NO! If you spout gobbledegook you can be a politician, maybe even a leader of your country, but only if you give me the winner of the 3.15 at Doncaster can you truly be a prophet

And where did Jesus say this? Are your writing your own Bible? A prophet is one who is anointed to speak for God, sharing God's words to people who need to hear them. Pastors, evangelists, and missionaries are all prophets...speaking to others for God about God. If you want to be a prophet, you need to be called of God and choose to serve Him for all of your life. It is not a professions but an anointed calling.

There are many today who claim Mohammed was a prophet just because he had visions and spoke the Koran which his followers wrote down later. He was not a prophet, but an ordinary man who was botherd by demons or jinn. He did not speak for God. He was so confused he did not know if the vision he had was from God or not.

Others today who claim to be prophets, are not either. A true prophet does not claim to be a prophet. He is a humble person who is a servant of God and who faithfully speaks what God tells him to speak. If a person says he is a prophet, it is most likely true that he is not... A test of a prophet the 100% fulfillment of his prophecies...

Jesus may have said he was the last prophet, however that doesn't mean the will of God can not be spoken through Man. God still communicates guidance and wisdom to his creation, perhaps not in the way that was most effective back then but still just as potent. Even today we are in need of guidance and direction.

Anyone is free to be a prophet at any time...if you don't mind having every word and deed put under a microscope.

The question didn't specify a true or false prophet, either...

There would be no more what? How do we really know what he's talking about and the ful meaning of his words? Maybe he meant there will not be another savior type of prophet after me?

what difference does it make? The bible and equivalent in other religions are pure nonsense. Parables. Tall stories. If someone is truly stupid enough to believe such nonsense then they can be a fire engine if they really want.

In Rev 1:8 says I am the Alpha and Omega says the Lord God, who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty. "Alpha and Omega" means First and Last. So I guess you are right on brother.

You cannot be a prophet, but you can possibly lead a great many people to think you are, and get very rich, if that's what you want......
