problem- "they don't pat taxes"

answer- grant them residency or citizenship so they can actually pay taxes. while so many people argue "no amnesty," they then procede to say things like "they don't pay taxes." (which by the way, they do pay some taxes when they buy things from the store). well duh! how are you suposed to pay taxes when you are not a citizen/resident?

p- "they are dumb"

a- use their newly granted citizenship/residancy taxes to put them through the schools that people refuse to let them go to

p- "they don't know english"

a- what so you think bilingual classes are for? they teach the kids spanish while at the same time, teaching them english. but like i previously mentioned, people refuse to let them learn, yet they complain about how they don't know.

p- "a lot of them are criminals"

a- actually, the majority are not criminals. so this is what we do: catch the real criminals of the immigrants and send THEM back. all the good ones can stay.

p- "they leave their anchor babies in america"

a- well, leat time i checked, there is a law saying that if a baby is born on U.S. ground, they are legal. if you have a problem with this, refer to my answers i put above this one and see that if they were legalized (answer #1) there would be no confusion.

p- "they keep crossing over. should we build a fence?"

a- a fence would cost way much more money than the illegal immigrants are suposidly "costing us." it woild have to span from texas all the way to california, not to mention how much work it would involve or how high/think it would need to be. to fix this, all we need to do is ease up on the legalization process (did you know that the citizenship test has questions on there that even americans themselves do not know the answer to?)

First of all, they broke the law just by coming here illegally, so therefore they are already criminals from the word go.
Second, they drain the economy of billions of dollars by the free education their children get and also from the free health care they get at the hospitals. ( L.A. county and San Diego hospitals are near bankrupt because of this. Fact of public record. )
Many refuse to learn English. I live in El Paso and know people that have been here for over 30 years and their attitude is that we Americans should learn Spanish (Mex.)
As far as educating them, that is at the cost of the people who really pay taxes. The middle class on up. If you make less than a certain amount the only thing you pay is SSI.
Many use a fake SSI card. That is fraud. A felony crime. Many are mules for drug cartels. Another felony crime. We also have the MS 13 gang in the states now. Rapist, cop killers, thieves. While many come to just work, there are a lot of criminals as well. They do NOT have the right to stay. What part of that don't you understand. They do NOT have the right to be a citizen. Thay do NOT have the right to vote, or protest. Most only have an allegiance to Mexico and not to the U.S.
They do not only do jobs that " Americans won't do" they take jobs away from us and work for much less wages and cause the pay scale to drop severely. I left the woodworking trade because of it and went into truck driving and now companies want to use them in truck driving and pay them cheap wages which once again will make wage scales drop.
I do say send them back and impose a fine on employers that would be severe, such as $10,000 for each illegal on the first offense and $ 25,000 on the 2nd offense and enforce the laws. That would end the illegal imigration problem. Also totally close off the borders, North and south. They want to come here and work? Fine, do it legally and get in line.

you forgot health care, how are they going to pay the thousands of dollars they rack up every year? do you think these poor people will suddenly have enough money to pay for health care just because they are legal? no they won't, instead they will apply for welfare. and there is the beginning of the many faults that go with your "quick fix". you have not seriously thought about this at all have you? it sounds to me like your parroting something you heard.

Smiley- illegal immigrants do not pay taxes, if they do it is through a stolen ss card. what makes you think legal immigrants pay more taxes than citizens? do you have proof or did you make this up in your own little mind?

I think that answer is bad. I say this because I reside here legally and already pay taxes. You should not be rewarded for what you are supposed to be doing. Anyone that wishes to reside in the United States should do so through legal means. It is unfair to grant exceptions to people who intentionally break the law. That creates an unfair slippery slope of sorts. You are suggesting that as long as people pay taxes, they should be able to live here illegally. As long as they are living here as unlawful citizens the law is being broken. Sure, the crime may be white collar, but it is a crime no less. This makes them a criminal.

I feel that everyone should have the right to live in the United States because this country is about life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. However, our laws dictate that you must become a citizen through legal channels. Failure to do so is a blatant disregard for the laws of the very country that the person wishes to reside in.

Some things you might want to think about- You do not need to be a US citizen to pay income tax. There is spellcheck on yahoo answers. If you have entered a country illegally, you have broken the law and are a ***criminal***.

Certain people are angry that the U.S. might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this county and, once here, stay indefinitely.
Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests. Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house)."
According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he, too, is hard-working and honest, except for that break-in part). If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends, who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there. It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and I'm just trying to better myself. I'm hard-working and honest ... um, except for ... well, you know.
And what a deal it is for me. I live in your house, contributing only a fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being anti-housebreaker.
Did I miss anything? Does this sound reasonable to you?

There are no simple solutions. We have allowed our country to get into a huge mess with wishywashy immigration policys since the late 1970s.

The immigrants I know pay alot more taxes out of there pay checks than an American does. Has any one seen one of their check stubs? I have several of them. I do not like the name anchor babies. These babies did not ask to be born its not their faults. Some of you people will be judged one day when it really counts and you will pay for all of your mean names you call these innoncent babies.

Poor people cost more in services like education and health care than they pay in taxes. A single one is a net loss and 11 to 20 million of them is a catastrophy to our schools and services.

I TOTALLY AGREE!!! The thing is, that most people think that immigrants here illegally don't pay taxes. IT'S NOT TRUE!!!! They may not have a SSN, but they are issued a tax payers ID number to do their taxes with. They get the same things deducted from their paychecks that US citizens do. And just about every illegal immigrant I have ever know DOES pay their taxes!!! People just like to get all worked up, and comment about things that they really know NOTHING about!! Thanks for your point of view!

ILLEGAL MEANS ILLEGAL which means "agains the law"

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS MUST BE DEPORTED AND THE LAW IS CLEAR ABOUT IT

IF YOU GRANT AMNESTY TO MOST THE ILLEGALS, WHAT
ABOUT THE LEGAL CANDIDATES WAITING OVERSEAS TO GET THEIR DOCUMENTS PROCESSED LEGALLY TO ENTER THE US.

WHO DESERVE TO BE REWARDED, THE ONE WHO COMMIT THE CRIME OR THE ONE THAT DID NOT?

HOW LONG AVERAGELY DOES IT TAKE TO GET A GREEN CARD WHILE WAITING OVERSEAS?

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS ARE DESTROYING OUR PRINCIPLE, LAWS.THEY ARE BANKRUPTING EVERYONE.

_SCHOOLS AND BUSES ARE OVERCROWDED
_BIG DEFICIT FOR HOSPITALS (ANCHOR BABIES)
_BURDEN FOR THE GOVERNMENT
_DESTROYING JOB BENEFITS (LOW WAGE)
_LEGAL IMMIGRANTS CANNOT FIND JOBS.
there is no dumb jobs but, only dumb people

In the absence of laws, there is chaos.
