Big house spiders most certainly do bite but their jaws are not strong enough to penetrate the human skin. My husband picked up one whose leg span was about 4 inches and he actually felt the 'bite' and I have a close up photo of the action!!

That all depends on what kind of a spider it is. A common hse spider regardless of size no. The fangs are not strong enough to punture the skin. But if you are talking more exotic spiders then yes. but only if they or not handled correctly. Hope this helps.

One species which is in fact very dangerous is the
Brown Recluse. I know 2 people that were bitten and it's not pretty and requires medical attention. Don't pick any up if you can avoid it. Look on the net to research what the dangerous ones look like.

no, it most properly will not, the best way is to put your hand in front of it and then gently tap it from behind so that it runs onto your hand, this is a lot better than picking it up as you may squash it and it may feel threatened which would encourage it to bite you.

They will give you a nip, but will not poison you. The best way to pick them up is to grab them quickly and shake your fist until you let them go. This disorientates them so they curl up and do not bite.

Maybe they smell fear and track you down like a sniffer dog. Usually they bite your big toe in the middle of the night.
