Why are there so many people that attack Muslims as though is a personal thing? I get attacked because I am Muslim people say Muslim go back to Arabia, but teh fact is that I am 100% American, 100% new Yorker. There are plenty of wacko people on tv and you do not see people saying so and so violated so and so or killed so and so and by the way he was X religion or Y religion. I am an american Comvert by the way and I really do not get why people always come to me and say middle east bla bla.... Dude I am a freaking American what the hell do I have to do with those people.I practice Islam by what the uran says and by what the Sunna says. do not insut anyone and hope not to be insulted. Is a pitty that people are disrespectful of others beliefs to the point of offending them. I wish people read a little before attacking one another. Please let's have mutual respect for each other.

No I do not condone violence... but I see people attacking me as though I have anything to do with it.... I grew up here in Manhattan and what do I have to do with this anyway? many people in teh forum are harsh and attcak Muslims believes... But they have not even read books or anything about islam. I have heard some pretty stuid stuff.. Hey I believe in teh God of Abraham, The God of Noah , The God of Adam, Peace be upon them... I do not have statues or paintings or rocks I just believe in God that is all!!! Allah (Means only thing worthy of woship) we use that word in arabic because it has no plural, no masculine or feminine... so that says a lot... Or so you know if God is a men or a woman? Let the rest of us know...... Did God identify this in any of your text from teh begining of time?

I have to agree with you. People should be judged by their actions, not their beliefs. I am not Muslim, in fact I'm not really any religion. If anything I'm a borderline atheist, lol! But I totally respect anyone's right to believe as they wish. To me, putting everyone from one religion into a group is like saying"This killer was wearing a red shirt, therefore all people who wear red shirts are evil". It's ridiciulous. Sorry you're the brunt of other people's narrow-mindedness.

That is sad, and so true. Many Muslims are wonderful people, just like some Americans . Some are good and some are bad. But you know like the saying goes: One rotten apple, spoils the whole barrel of apples. Your last reply is Great ! Please, lets respect each other. If we all would practice that , it would be a wonderful, Peacefull world. A Muslim clerk waited on me the other day, and she was so kind and friendly. I never treat them rudely and I hope no one does. The race that really suffered in America in 1845 and etc., were the Irish emmigrants. It was awful the way they were treated. So hopefully, this will let you know that the Muslims are not the only group that has been belittled. The Irish suffered just terrible. Also the Bohemian people. My Ancestors struggled too. And in time we all blended in. Ignorance is done by people who do not know. Take care and it will get better.

I don't believe anyone should be attack "Just because" Not every Muslim is a Radical. A person should ask you if they want to know. In this country unfortunately from MY experiences, its made up of 75% Christians, And despite the fact that they Follow Jesus, Very view actually live by his true teachings. and Trust me your not the Only religion that is targeted, You unfortunately just have to be the prominent one at the moment. When this changes they pick on someone else again.
I'm Pagan so I know how you must feel. I had to Pull my daughter out of public school because of such prejudice, in a country that prides itself on freedom. But unfortunately it only 100% free if you follow a certain set of rules, mainly christian rules. any deviation and you are open to attack.

The most important thing is that you believe. No matter how you wish to, or what name you may give to that, that created you. In the end, the true message, that of love and compassion, is truly universal. It is only through the misinterpretation of the word, due to greed and hate and convenience that this chaos between faiths come about. If it is the path of the Muslim that feels right for you, be strong in that faith. Let no other than your own heart sway you from what you believe to be true. Don't let them that do not understand upset you for it is for this purpose that they attack what is sacred to you. Live in love and peace and have compassion for those who would rather fight for they are truly lost in the way of the true way and true word of the Creator.

My friend, I sympathize with you 100%. I am a white South African, and you have no idea of the flak that I got during the apartheid years - like it was all my fault. My father was blocked for promotion for many years because of his views, and I was under surveillance by the Security Police for some years because of my views and activities. It wasn't easy being a white South African during those years. If you weren't careful you would disappear, never to be seen again, and that is not an exaggeration. The list of people who disappeared is a sight longer than you'd expect - over a 1,000 people.

People do not understand Islam and you will continue to get lumped in with the radicals.

I know you may not speak against the Muslims that commit these acts, but I would look into speaking out against the acts. If you do not condemn them, you condone the by default.
