I have a friend who was raised in Iglesia ni Cristo, is confused about his beliefs, and is considering leaving his church. I am a Christian (non-demominational-leaning towards Baptist) and I don't know how to answer his questions regarding The Trinity and other differences between our churches. He doesn't believe that his church is the only one that is saved, which is what his church teaches and he is confused because he doesn't know what the other major differences are. I know a few of them, but I wanted to know if someone could lay out the differences for me and maybe give me some scriptures so I can show him (especially about the trinity). Also, if there are any denominations that would be easiest for him to convert to. thanks so much :-)

Regarding the The Trinity- I know that Iglesia ni Cristo doesn't believe that God, Jesus, and The Holy Spirit are one and the same. My friend doesn't not understand how other Christians can believe that They are. I want to show him some scriptures in The Bible that show that this is true. I know it's a very tricky thing because The Bible gets interpeted in so many different ways and I know that there might be scriptures that say he was "a man" and this can be confusing. If anyone knows of any good websites as well it would be very helpful. I'm trying to educate myself a little bit more on some of these beliefs because, when talking to him, I've discovered that I don't really know how to explain my own beliefs and that makes me feel bad. I guess I never knew there were Christians that didn't believe in the Trinity as three different forms of the same God. thanks so much, God bless

It's not another organization he needs to join, it's the person of Jesus Christ.
If you don't know how to lead your friend to Him then find some evangelical minister who does. Baptist would do just fine. I myself am Methodist.

one is English and the other is Spanish.

the easiest way to explain the trinity is using the egg as an example,
the egg has a shell, yolk and white, all are individual, but make a complete egg.
in the gospel of John, Jesus prayed to god the Father, but told his disciples that he would send the Holy Spirit as a comforter.

very few Churches teach that they are the only ones saved.

the Church of Christ is a great church that is willing to help you figure out your problems and questions about the church. about the trinity, that's hard to find scriptures...i can't think of any off my head. he has to have faith (heb.11) and make sure to tell him that if he doubts...he should study on his own, and not rely on any church. finding a church after you establish your own thoughts about it is so much easier. churchzip.com helps you find a church of christ thats near you! good luck and God bless!

It's all just different flavors of the same superstition.
