As i am shy and dont want to send off mixed signals but want him to know i like him. I have started showing more of an intereste in him

If you can pluck up the courage to just say to him you like him.
You're on the right track though. Get to know him, find out what his interested in and show interest in those things... hopefully he'll realise you like him.
Always give him the time of day. When he enters a room give him a smile, let him know you've noticed him. Give him attention!

Just let him know. Just say it. If you are hesitating right now it could be due to your shy behavior or because you are not sure of his intentions and feelings.
Your opportunities in life are a few, take them. Think about those you did not take in the past and you wish you did.

You talk to him a lot, you ask him questions concerning his interests, you smile to him, you send to him love messages if you have a mobile phone and, finally, you tell him or you ask a friend of yours to tell him.

I say how do you let a girl know you like her? I find it harder for me as a guy to ask a girl. Most men are red blooded and would jump at the chance of a girl letting them know you like them.
