My son is 10 so he is in no later than 8pm. My daughter is 12 (almost 13) and due in no later than 10pm depending on what she is doing and whom she is with. So sometimes it is 9:30 and sometimes 10pm. They don't need to be out late at those ages. Sam

When I was 13 I needed to be in the house at 8:00 pm, anything later then that would have been trouble for me. You are the parent here. Your son has no right to question your authority and he should be doing what he's told no matter what. If he isn't happy about this then that's too bad. You pay the bills, and put food on the table for him to eat. You cloth him as well and are responsible for him. When he gets his own life and his own place then he can come and go as he pleases, until then he needs to be in at a reasonable time. 8:00 should be a good time when there is school on the weekdays.

my son is 4 an my daughter is 16 months, im dreading it when they want to start going out with there friends after school an on weekends, this is a cruel world an i would b worried sick wotever there age an where ever there going. mayb im just a worried parent but i dont think im the only one. 10pm for a 13yr old (male/female) is too late, they know right from wrong but there still young they shouldnt b out that late. mayb im boring but atleast i know my kids will be safe after dark. its so scary out there, u never who is round the corner these days.

I have three children - twins of 11 and a 15 year old. Personally, I think it depends what they are doing. If they are only playing out, I am not happy for them to be out after dark. It's different if they are at an event or something, in which case they should be allowed out later.

I am not a Parent, however, i am a Son.
I am 19 and my curfew is STILL 12:30, but sometimes i do slip past the curfew but thats a different matter all together.

Well my son is too young, he's only five but I am interested in this. I have a few brothers and at first it was 9.00pm then when they turned 15 it was 10.00pm of course afterwards it went to 12.00 when they were 18 and extended when they got employed.
