Garlic Spinach Balls
2 cups crushed seasoned stuffing
1 cup finely chopped onion
4 eggs, lightly beaten
3/4 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 garlic clove, minced
1-1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
2 packages (10 ounces each) frozen chopped spinach, thawed and squeezed dry
In a large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients. Stir in spinach until blended. Roll into 1-in. balls. Place in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan. Bake at 350° for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Yield: 8 servings.

I made these at a party a while ago and everyone loved em! I would watch out for the spinach though....

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a medium bowl, mix the frozen chopped spinach, Italian-style seasoned bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, butter, green onion, eggs, salt and pepper. Shape the mixture into 1 inch balls.
Arrange the balls in a single layer on a large baking sheet. Bake in the preheated oven 10 to 15 minutes, until lightly browned.

3/4 cup melted margarine
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3/4 Tablespoon Cayenne pepper to taste
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic salt
1-2 teaspoons Tony's Creole Seasoning (optional)
Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Cook spinach according to package directions and drain well, squeezing to remove excess moisture. Combine with stuffing mix, chopped onion, eggs, margarine, cheese, Cayenne and garlic salt. Mix well. Shape into 3/4-inch balls and place on cookie sheet. Bake 15-20 minutes. (These are successfully frozen by placing on a pan in freezer until hard, then storing in airtight bags. To serve, thaw slightly and bake 20-25 minutes.)

never heard of them. So I'll make up a recipe for you.
1. frozen spinach, thawed... squeeze it with your hands to get out water.
2. cooked rice
3. egg to bind it.
4. seasonings. what do you like? I'd use a sharp cheese. Maybe reallly sharp cheddar. or the italian Asiago cheese. Some herb.. um...fresh oregano. salt and pepper.
It's going to be really sloppy making them, but mix in a bowl...with your hands, or put on food handling gloves... If they are too moist/wet add some breadcrumbs, or crumbled cornbread.
I'd probably bake in oven, covered for maybe 25 minutes.

1 cup froz soinach squeezed(no water) 1 cup bread crumbs1 cup fresh parmesean (processer works good and your old bread used up.....2 eggs salt 1/2 tbs 2 or 3 pinches 1/2 cup chopped fine basil,2 tbsp flaked orenago 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper(can use couple splashes of hot sauce....1 tbs garlic powder...mix all together make 1 inch balls and bake 350 for 15 minutes depending on your oven(middle shelf) they will be firm..and brown..........use a glass dish if you have one if not a shhet pan works ...i spray with pam.with garlic............all ingredient but spinach can all be proced in food processor with bread crumbs

i dont know where you live, but noone in america is suppose toeat spinach because of e coli. i waen out to eat last night && i wanted spinach salad, && they said they weret serving it because of the disease., so be carefull!

Ingredients

1 large onion, finely chopped
2 packages frozen spinach, defrosted, drained and squeezed dry
6 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup Provolone cheese, shredded
1/3 cup butter or margarine, melted
1-3/4 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg (optional)

Directions

Preheat oven to 350o.
Combine all ingredients in bowl of a food processor and process with the steel blade until blended.
Chill for a minimum of 30 minutes.
Form into small balls about 3/4 to 1 inch in diameter.
Bake on a greased cookie sheet for 10 - 12 minutes.

Once baked and cooled, spinach balls can be frozen.

2 eggs
2 Cups stuffing mix (not cubed)
1/2 Cup minced onion
3/4 Cup grated parmesan cheese
1/2 Cup (1 stick) butter/margarine


Cook spinach and drain well, (push the water out of the spinach through a strainer with a fork). Melt butter. Mix all ingredients. Form into balls about 1.5 inch in diameter. Bake in 350º (F) oven 12 - 15 minutes or until BOTTOM of spinach ball is lightly browned

Pepperidge Farm seasoned stuffing m
Parmesan cheese, 2 oz., grated or g
Eggs, 6 slightly beaten
Butter, 3/4 cup, soft

Cook spinach according to directions on package. Drain extremely well. Combine all ingredients and mix well. Form 1/2 inch diameter logs. Freeze, wrapped in heavy duty plastic wrap. When you are ready to use them, thaw slightly and slice into 1/2 inch rounds. You can shape the rounds into balls, or leave as is. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 F until lightly brown (about 20 minutes). Serve hot or cold.

[Try adding sorrel to the spinach. You can also add herbs such as oregano, chopped sauted garlic or onions.]

Preheat oven to 350F. Thaw spinach and remove excess liquid. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Form mixture into small balls and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 15 minutes. Dip in hot mustard.

These may be frozen for later use; increase baking time 10 minutes.
