I'm not gay and I'm not going to convert. Anytime I ask anything about gay people Christians, not all, ask me "why are you gay" or something along these lines and tell me I need Jesus.

Is this a product of the b word, the word that ends in rainwashing? I thought the answer was ethnocentrism, but it happens to often.

Some people assume that everyone only cares about themselves... so... if you're asking about "gay people" then you must be one of them according to their "understanding" of human nature. If you ask about "the gays" then you must be "a gay" because otherwise, why would you give a crap, right?

That's why some people assume the way they do.

That is a really sweet question, and I'm so glad you asked it. And I was really impressed to see you mentioned the word rainwashing, cause yesterday that's what we were doing in the front yard. We had made the sidewalk dirty by transplanting stuff and then it commenced to rain and as it rained I used a push broom to clean the sidewalk.

Larry, it that you? Julie says hi, and not to forget our dinner party next Sunday.

Well I'm gay, and I think its because they feel the need to put others down. They don't read the question they just give an answer because they see gay, lesbian, homosexual, or transgender in the question. That is my opinion. Keep in mind these are the same people who probably head over to the GLBT boards to insult and attempt to "save" us. If you want questions asked about the GLBT community, then head over to our boards and ask, because we are alot less judgmental than that select group of Christians who post those things.

It depends on the Christian. If it's someone who feels the Bible is perfect verbatim and completely inspired by God, they they are probably very intolerant and narrow minded. In my area, when I try to talk to Christians about reaching out to the homosexual community without judging or condemning them, someone always whispers that I am secretly gay.

When you find a Christian that loves God, but understands how the Bible was created and realizes that God never commissioned such a work to be compiled and never endorsed the Bible personally, you should find someone who understands love and tolerance.

It is precisely this type of Christian thinking that brought about the holy crusades, witch trials, and even the holocaust. Oh yes, Hitler was a devout Christian and he believed that he was serving God in what he did. This is what comes from legalistic thinking and strict adherance to written words that go against the laws of love.

Because some Christians, Not all, forget they are imperfect humans. They start practicing and blieving so much about Jesus and God that in some strange way they start thinking they are Jesus or God. They start judging people and trying to met punishment, as if they were God full well knowing that Judgement and punishment is only for God. Jesus didnt even judge people. Plus Judging puts them above others therefore over compensating for their insecurity spiritually and religiously!

they do this for same reason when anyone new enters their church they assume this person needs to be saved . its called judgeing and god says dont do this . being gay is just one of many things that we as humans are haveing to deal with in our lives and i think people are putting too much importance on this and thats why more are trying this because the masses say dont . this isnt new its just free to be open with this now . people did this at time of christ too i assure you but death was their price for letting it out then . i look at being gay just like other sins i dont aggree with doing it but my job is to share my faith of god with anyone and to judge others isnt a good way to do this. gays should be allowed anywhere and we wont stop this by pointing fingers but welcomeing them in church and threw god they will find their way . if god judges us by this theres many so called christians that are doomed here .

Sorry I am not one that does, I don't go to the gay section at all, perhaps that's the best way to treat it if one is not gay and don't plan on being so.
