i have recently bought an AMD truion laptop. i have tried to install windows XP with a bootable CD. but every time i try it its showing a message "NTLDR missing press alt+ctrl+del to restart". with the same CD i have installed in other sys. wats the problem and how can i rectify that. please help me as soon as possible. thank you.

i few optons are disabled in ur bios options
do this
i don know whether it works or not
restaret ur pc
press del
bios options will appear
select bios options and select first boot option select CDROM
and enable all features in bios options

You mean, everytime you try to boot from the CD it gives you that error. Which is weird because in most cases, it's when you try to boot from the hard drive that you get that error.
Well, whatever the case is and since the file can't be missing from a CD, the CD is probably corrupt (scratched) beyond repair. I'm not saying not to try a repair kit but sometimes the scratches go so deep that they can't be fixed.
