I got my hair razor cut, and now my hair seems to shed more.. is this normal? What should I do?

It is really beginning to worry me. I never used to lose that much hair at all and I have always had really long thick hair. This summer I got my hair cut and layered with a razor and now I have noticed it falls out more.

razor cuts are bad for your hair.A Stylist used a razor on my hair without my permission,he totally ruined all my hair. My hair was WAY to thin,it looked all broken and frayed,it even got tiny knots on single strands, the ends were weak. Just to be safe if I were you I would not get a razor cut again. I don't care what hair stylists say I know what my hair looked like and it was horrid. Good luck

Razor cut won't cause you hair to shed. Talk to your doctor if this continues, your hair is sometimes the first thing to show that something could be wrong. (like you notice a LOT of hair coming out, little shedding is normal )

You have normal hair my hair is razor cut and my hair sheds more but all it all is the heat.

your hair sheds more durring the summer because of the heat...having your hair cut with a razor has absolutely nothing to do with this......

i get mine cut all the time with a razor and never have a problem. but then of course i shave my head.

Totally. The same thing happened to me. They do it to me everytime and I'm sick of it! It totally thins your hair and makes it fall out. Don't worry you won't go bald. But it totally damages your ends.
