Come to Florida. We have amusement parks, beaches and clubs for everyone. You can vacation here really cheep and can even get theme park tickets for free by going to see a time share thing. The presentation last about and hour to an hour and a half and they will give you all kinds of things for going. You can get hotel rooms, theme park tickets, meals, whatever you need.

There is something here for everyone. I am almost your hubbies age and went to Orlando a couple of months ago. We did the Magic Kingdom with 2 two year old children and then we did Epcot alone. We had a blast both days. We also did Sea World with the kids. We all loved it.

If that idea doesn't suit you, look into taking a cruise. I just took one with my hubby to celebrate 25 years of marriage. It was about $550.00 total for the 2 of us and that included everything. Room, meals, entertainment. Everything. We were gone 6 days and had a blast.

Take him to Ibiza, getb him and yourself to mix in with the younger adults in the night clubs, they will make you both welcome as they like adult interaction if that's the word.
He will then feel 30 years younger.
Ibiza is beutiful, don't beleive what you see on TV.
I recommend the Seaview Country Club hotel in Port des Torrent, right at the very end of San antonio bay, It's a beutiful new hotel, no Germans all brits everything 100% very peaceful and quiet.
Good luck Jimmy

Venice, Italy.

Sorrento, Italy (if you stay a week-something to do every day:)
Pompeii
Herculean
Isle of Capri
Naples
Vesuvius
Seeing Sorrento

Monte Carlo

Disney World and adjacent parks

Malta

Santorinni, Greece

San Antonio, Texas

You could try Greece its not too expensive in May and you have nice weather. Eating is cheap and so is the beer. Kefolonia is beautiful.
Or you could do a week-end in Dublin - great fun
Venice is romantic - but expensive to eat
