I have been taught by many Pastors and Rabbis that the Orthodox Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Messiah and that when He comes again the understanding knowledge will be given to them. In the time that Jesus was with us they "the Orthodox" never accepted Jesus as the Messiah stating that He had not fulfilled the contract of the Bible describing the Messiah. And at that time the New Testament didn't exist yet. Be thankful that you understand He was and is the Messiah, the Saviour of us all!

Orthodox Jews do not reject the Messiah. They don't believe He has come yet. They are still waiting. They also do not reject the words of Moses and/or Isaiah. You must be careful not to twist the words of the Lord, also. Interpretation is one thing, but to say that either Isaiah 52:13 or 53:12 in any way imply that Jesus "married more than any man" is blasphemy. This may be taught in the movies, but is not taught in either Christian or Jewish faith. In fact, I did a cross-reference of the subject and find no religion teaching that movies and/or their script writers or actors are the true voice of or interpreters of God's Word.

Isaiah
52:13 See, my servant will act wisely [b] ;
he will be raised and lifted up and highly exalted.

53:12 Therefore I will give him a portion among the great, [g]
and he will divide the spoils with the strong, [h]
because he poured out his life unto death,
and was numbered with the transgressors.
For he bore the sin of many,
and made intercession for the transgressors.

You make it sound like this hasn't been discussed by Jews & Christians before. There is a VERY long list of "disputations" and arguments going back ages. The Jewish conclusion has always been that the person you call Jesus just doesn't fit the bill (or the prophecies) for the Messiah, end of story.

To me, the 13th century "disputation" in Aragon more or less settled the issue. (I think even the Christian King, James, thought the Rabbi had at least held his own on that one.)

David,
You are a Christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades Christianity.

. It is, by definition, impossible for it to be "jewish" to believe in jesus. "Jewish" is, by defintion, what jews have historically and contemporarily believe. Since in neither scenario do we find "believing in jesus", then we must clearly realize that belief in jesus is not something "jewish". You can call it "biblical" (and still be wrong), but certainly not "jewish".
. On the side, the subject of Isaiah 53 is promised a "long life" and "seed" (i.e. physical children). Clearly this isn't about jesus.
. And Isaiah 7 is clearly not messianic if you read the whole chapter. and "alma" doesn't mean virgin either. You'd know that if you spoke hebrew (I guess it wasn't part of your "extensive jewish upbringing", huh?)
. On the side, Isaiah 9 can't be about jesus since, according to christianity, he's the "son" not the "father" (as the verse states). Nor did he have control of the government (to the contrary, the roman government killed him). And he certainly did not establish "endless peace".

oh, and lastly, I've decided that you truly epitomize everything I find intensely intellectually unsatisfying about christianity. (And you clearly do not understand hebrew.)

First, there are 2 worry-free sorts of Jews- racial and non secular.... The racial Jews are only that- a racial crew- they trust something they prefer. A "racial Jew" will be Christian, believing in Jesus. the 2d crew- those who do not trust that Jesus changed into who He suggested He changed into.... They were "searching previous the mark" through the top of the tale, Jesus may have come two times. he's already come once, His 2d comming has yet to happen. the recent testomony Jews were searching for a political savior- someone to "keep" them from Roman rule. to boot, the Jewish administration on the time changed into too prideful, paranoid, power-hungry to settle for that their promised Messiah had come and walked between them. They were literate, they knew the prophesies... They knew precisely who He changed into- they only did not favor to loose their power, status, status, and so on.

Yes.
Judaism is unique in that it is both a religion, and an ethnic group. One can still be ethnically and culturally a secular Jew, even if one is an atheist and rejects the religious mythology of judaism.

Or I suppose if a Jew converts to another silly religion.

dude, just accept it man, you aren't jewish anymore, you are a christian.

I know its hard, but those people lied to you, they weren't jewish either. they were christians pretending to be jewish, to deceive you.

as has been explained countless times, they realized after the temple was destroyed, that it wasn't the blood that actually did anything, it was the repentance, and god forgives you just by asking, no sacrifice needed.

its not too late for you to return to god.
