My ex best friend's sister name is Catrice.
Pronounced (Ka-tr-ee-c).

She was made fun off often by being called "Cat Rice" or "Cat on Ice".

Pretty much find a name that the child won't have a high chance of hating her name. Beatrice can be made fun of more since it is more "outthere" and noticable. "Beat 'n rice" or "beat my rice" .

As my name was made fun of a lot. Yet, my name goes with my personality and looks. "Step on me" "Steph a-knee". It gets annoying and old after awhile. Sometimes I will go by my middle name or a nick name instead of my real name due to it.

If you like the name, however, that is your choice. Just think ahead of how your child can feel about it too.

Very English sounding. The x princess Fergie named her daughter Beatrice.

I personally don't like that name as a first name, but I think it would make a great middle name. But in the end it doesn't matter what other people think, as long as you are happy. Nobody liked the names I chose for my kids, but I still wouldn't change them, Magnolia Kate, Nia Michelle, Hattie Adrianne, Narra Grace, and Michael Isaac. If you like the name, use it.

It is a cute name. If you think that you like it and it is a name you fell comfortable with and know that 18 years done the road, you will like calling your child that, then you name her that.

It's not as bad as some suggested on here. It will, of course, be shortened to Bea.
