12 years old and thats 5'2 or 5'3????? I want to lose some weight but i don't know what to lose down to!!!!plez help!!!!!!!THANX!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm not obese just a little over weight and i feel so uncomfoetable around other ppl all i can thing about is my weight but u ppl don't have to worry i would not starve myself for nothing in the world(i don't want all those medical problems)

What you look best it of course. I would say between 95 and 115. No more no less.

Well, I don't know how much you weigh so it's hard to say whether you should diet at all. However, dieting at such a young age can mess with your metabolism, so you will then struggle with your weight for the rest of your life! I would recommend trying to cut out junk food and eat healthily and also making sure you get plenty of exercise (just playing out and P.E. lessons at school should be enough).

However, you can calculate your BMI (body mass index) which should give you a better idea. Use the first link below and put your height and weight in. If you're in the US you'll want to know that there's 14 pounds in a stone! You can also use the chart (the second link below) to look at where you should be: at 62-63 ins tall (which you are) you should be somewhere between 104 and 141 pounds (or between 7 stone 6 and 10 stone). If you are over 10 stone you should consider losing weight but as I said before, do it slowly by changing your habits rather than a crash diet!

80 or 90 lbs for a 12 year old thats 5'2 or 3'. Depending on your age and height it will go up. Say if you were 5'7 when you mature, would be nice to keep it at 110 or 125 lbs. But don't go starving yourself. No matter what you weight, as long as you're healthy, just live and be happy. Try fruit snacks instead of cookies or sandwich. Fruits has natural sugar and good source of vitamins. Good fibers too.

At your age you should NOT be dieting. You should eat well and exercise like crazy.You will be stronger, more healthy. You will be much happier with the out come. Go and remember you are beautiful.

i guess around 100pounds...not more then 105 cause after all you're still a kid....don't worry, you don't need to start dieting now unless you're obese or something...enjoy and play some sports, eat healthily and you'll turn out fine..

What do you weigh now? A good weight would be between 100lb and 120lb. However, if you weigh slightly more or less than this, it is still acceptable. HTH : )

12 year old should be around 80-90 pounds
