You probably lost your five points through asking a question. Each question costs five points to ask, to make sure people have a hard time spamming Yahoo Answers. Your points will not be returned unless no best answer is selected for the question, in which case all of them will be returned, or you pick a best answer for it, in which case three of them will be returned (not that if anyone answers your question at all, you be unable to get the five points back, three will then be the maximum).

Well every time you ask a question you loose 5 points. Now if you have any questions or concerns the best thing to do is to Email Yahoo and explain your situation to them. Only they could help you out. Since they are the ones who make the rules for this web site..

This is the rule of this website. If Yahoo! takes away 5 points for asking a question, it gives u 3 points back if u choose the best answer urself. Thus In reality u lose only 2 points and this rule of Yahoo! motivates u to choose ur best answer also because asker is always best judge.
When people vote for the best answers, It has been noticed they bother more for their own points than bothering for accuracy of the answer. Thus giving u three points back while choosing the best answer urself reduces the misuse of voting also.
Had Yahoo! not been taking 5 points for asking. It is possible that people may post dumb questions more like who came first " Hen or Egg". Thus this rule reduces the probability of dumb questions also.
I feel this is a good rule and it should continue.

You lose 5 points when you ask a question. I don't think you can get them returned. You have to answer quesitons and get voted best answer to get points.

WOW! Losing points! What to do, what to do, what to do? Check out your agreement when you signed up! It explicitly says that five points are deducted when you ask a question!

She had no pastime, no relatives to help her out, and now no money to proceed her existence. do not fall for it. inspite of the reality that it could be large if human beings were only giving out money.
