Doctors usually say to wait 6 weeks. But everyone is different and considering that you generally bleed for 6 weeks after delivery you may want to wait that long. but if your bleeding ends before 6 weeks and you feel well enough you can probably do it then but if you're not sure just wait the 6 weeks to get the ok from your Doc.

Speak to your dr. and take the cue from your wife. A c-section is a painful operation and can take a lot out of a woman. Looking after a new baby with stitches in the stomich area is not pleasant at all.

They still say it is best to wait 6 weeks after a c-section as well as natural! I have had 2 c-sections and the stitches need to heal and the skin around the incision is very sore for awhile! It is best to wait till the doctor says other wise!

at least six weeks. I had all 3 of my kids by cesarian and that is the length of time I had to wait for the last 2. My first c-section took a little longer to heal because A. I wasn't expecting to have a c-section and B. my doctor used dissolvable stitches that dissolved too soon. So please speak to your doctor as all cases are different.

most doctors will tell you to wait until 8 weeks, but i never did and i had 3.
the only thing is that you are still pretty sore, and you dont want to get pregnant again right away, so use something for birth control and dont try swinging from the lights, but if you are easy, it isnt a problem.

I would think right away, since they didnt have the baby the normal way....but to be sure you should ask the doctor. And I agree with answerer #1, you probably dont want to hurt you body by getting pregnant right away.

Not for six weeks.
Even though you don't deliver the baby through your vagina...your uterus and cervix is still going back to normal. You still bleed and you are at risk for infection if you put anything in your vagina before your six week chekc up.

Whenever she feels ready for it... Every woman is different and a surgery takes a while to recover from.
