the hardest part is not eating or drinking (soo hungry lol) but the best part is being close to God. here is a poem someone wrote that summarizes it pretty well:
Waking up before dawn to those Ramadan lights
Sometime in the morning or maybe late night?
Down the stairs; you know what I hear?
The call to prayer loud in my ears
Proceeding to the kitchen, barely awake
For breakfast this time what did Mom make?
Eggs and bread and fava beans too
Just some of the traditional arabic food
Refrain from all sins, as pure as can be
Asking for God's endless mercy
Soups for dinner to kindle your soul
At the end of the day we eat 'til we're full
Candies, dates, milk and soup
Sometimes as a family or even a group
Everyone is kind and fair to each other
Treating all creatures as sisters and brothers
Going to the mosque for tarawih
Late at night during the week
Lailat al Qadr is the "specialest" day
If you're praying your sins are wiped away
So yallah, hurry, come to prayer
Ramadan is approaching
It's that time of year!

The hardest part is just the first day of fasting. And When you start cooking the food you want to break the fast with and you cannot even taste what you are cooking.

Ok ok fasting should not be done unless consulting your doctor. But i use to fast as a regular thing. i just recently eating regularly again. but the hardest part about fasting is that when you are done... you findyour self very very hungry and then need to eat more beacuase you are more hungry.. and then when you eat so you are full you think that you look fat again or whatever to i suggest just be catious of what you are intaking and quantity and make sure you do push ups and situps. or run. because if you are fasting to lose weight as soon as you start eating again you will gain it back. So eat, just make it healthy stuff.. and those 3 workouts i gave you build metabolism..
Good Luck

the best part in fasting is when you feel about the people that go through days of not eating and drinking and you feel how much you're blessed, i felt that yesterday and you just cant stop thanking god! that's mainly the object of fasting ramadan!

the last 10 minutes is the hardest for me. you just stare at the clock wanting it to go faster, and smelling all the food around you.
