I'm a 22 year old male. Most would say that I'm pretty attractive. So, I get my fair share of phone numbers (I'm not trying to sound aarogant, just explaning my sad tale). Anyways. It seems that less than half of the girls that I call actually answer/call back. Is this just because females give their number out to see if i show interest, or what? I wouldnt think that many girls would give me a pity phone #. Or maybe I just sound like an idiot on their answering machine. Help! =P

Maybe you see these girls, and they think you're cute, so they give their number... but maybe some of them actually have a bf or something and they realize they shouldn't have given the number. Hopefully they don't think you are too forward, cuz I know I used to avoid guys that I felt were too aggressive. It's not pity, they probably want to try and be players of the game too. Anyway, you can't date all of them, so be glad only a handful call you back.

Most people hate confrontation.It is easier to give you a false number than go to the effort of rejecting you to your face.And maybe some are just drunk and can't remember their own number. Secondly, after you've called it requires self confidence to return the call.Give them 2 shots then pitch the #

Maybe they are just not interested!
Perhaps they just gave you their number to be polite--and so that you could get out of their face!!
Even though you may be attractive...perhaps your approach was a bit too strong...or maybe they are just not all that attracted to YOU.
Perhaps they gave you their number saying...."well, maybe i'll give him a try..." but then had 2nd thoughts about even speaking to you once you actually called.

Try calling when its more likely they are home. How soon do you call? Id wait a few days so as not to seem too desperate. If you do leave a message, keep it short and sweet. You babble on then you make yourself sound like a moron.

Do you meet them at bars? And are they drunk when they give you their number? Dude, who cares? If they don't answer or call back, then don't worry about it. Move on.

They are not giving you their numbers.
You need to go back to school and learn how to spell and write. That could be a reason why you have so many people not wanting to talk to you again.
