It means she doesn't understand religion and it scares her to not understand something. Pity her and with everything she says in the class think about it throughly instead of just accepting.

No psychology teacher would teach that. If you want to look at religion from a psychological standpoint, you would focus on why humans need religion as comfort and to explain the unknown and how religious beliefs have been passed on as society norms. It would not be considered a mental illness. It could be thought of as a mental crutch.

It means she believes it is acceptable for her to use her position of power and also her security in her job given to her by her liberal teachers union to spread propaganda. She knows there will be no consequences for her actions.
But don't let her get away with it. You have much more power than you can imagine. Stand up against her ravings. Take her statements to the administration and express how you have been offended. That's what the liberals do when Christians speak the truth.
If the administration won't listen find someone who will. Document everything. If you can prove she retaliates against you for your position then you have grounds to file a greivance against her.
These liberal teachers think they can't be touched. But they can.

psychologists have a useless job that is full of hot air. they have to come up with things to justify their existence or they will be out of work. they are trying to take the place of the church, as in older times people would go to their spiritual leaders for help, and the best way to do that is to belittle it. religion, in one form or another has been with man since day one. it is asinine to think that it is a mental illness. pass the class then make your own mind up on the matter

You look to anticipate that "faith" ought to search for advice from with the Abrahamic faiths, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, no longer all faiths enroll in those scriptures, or perhaps to any. As a Pagan i trust that the Gods created the Universe and the organic guidelines by which it runs, those guidelines contain danger and success. psychological ailments, like various different variety, or, for that count number organic failures, takes position through danger no longer layout and coping with them is component of the human circumstance. The Gods also gave us loose will, so we are responsible for voluntary moves in accordance to what all of us understand or trust, that signifies that psychological ailment is an element contained in the outcome of those moves. technology is a device for understanding how the universe works, spirituality is a frame of mind to exploring your relationship with the Gods, both can not in any way conflict for the reason that they address 2 separate subject matters.

It means that she is Godless and holds people of faith in contempt. How arrogant of her to think that her miniscule life span in the world and a few short years of 'higher' education enables her to deny the existence of the Creator who gave her life. Your Psychology 100 teacher doesn't have the ability to create even a blade of grass, let alone the universe. "The fool has said in [her] heart 'there is no God' - Psalm 14:1.

Well, religion generally involves a state of mind in which the person is no longer capable of rational thought and believes in things which do not exist, sometimes even to the extent of believing that such things are communicating with them. If your definition of mental illness includes this, then yes, being religious means being mentally ill.

The truth is quite painful, but the fact of the matter is that a large number of psychologists regard religious beliefs as a mental illness.
