shampoo actually does, matter because if you strip out all teh natural oils from your hair, it makes it unhealthy and tends to be frizzy and wornout. pantene has good shamppos and conditioners that give back to your hair, they can make it very soft and supposedly rich in color if use pantene color expressions. Another brand that I have in my shower is herbal essences. It is really great with smell especially and also for your hair. in fact, i tend to use a little of both in the shower. dove is ok i guess, they are better with moisturizing body wash and garnier fructis is fun and fruity but can make your hair greasy.
If you wanted to splurge on a great shampoo and conditioner, try Biolage which i think is on sale right now. Biolage is in pretty much at any salon- and at walgreens.

I think Herbal Essences, because it makes your hair feel fresh and luxuriant. It makes you hair healthy in a beautiful way, and it makes the scalp go away quickly. I used to have a scalp problem but soon it went away with herbal essences. Anyway, it totally depends on your hair type. I hope you make a good decision though =)

Oh dear god! None!
All of them cause wax build up! You will have oily hair if you have any wax build up, your natural oil from your scalp (a good thing) will sit on top of the hair strand (bad thing) and not soak in like it is supposed to. This will cause your hair to look oily and "dirty" even after you just washed it.

Go with a product your stylist can recommend, this is what she went to school for & she knows her stuff.

If you don't want to ask her or him, check out Biolage, Halo or Redkin and read carefully on front and back, it won't lie to you!

your hair type doesn't really matter....because just about all of those have special-formulated shampoos for each one.

i personally like garnier fructis because it smells good and works pretty well. pantene is also really good, and makes your hair really nice and clean.

i don't like herbal essences. i mean...they might smell good, but they didn't really work on my hair.

i've never used dove before.

None of them. Look into some professional lines such as Redken, Paul Mitchell and Enjoy
