How about both? Make a pumpkin pie and top it with some glazed pecans. Place the pecans in a ring around the outside edge of the pie with a single pecan half in the very center of the pie and you will have a great taste and a great presentation.

Pecan Pie. I don't care for pumpkin so at Thanksgiving I make a sweet potato pie. Pumpkin is too strong a flavor.
