I live in Denmark in Europe, and the church attendance here is 2.5%. In other words, 975 out of every 1000 people do not attend church. As a Dane myself, I can tell you that the Danes do not substitute churchgoing for other kinds of religious activity. I personally don't know a single person who prays. People simply aren't religious at all.

What is your opinion about this?

Don't advertise it -- you'll be inundated by evangelicals!!!

Yet Denmark is thought of as a very peaceful nation. In the U.S. I would guess that at least 30 percent of Americans attend religious services. Does the world think of us as a peaceful nation?

sometimes it is just not all about praying or going to church, I think is more important if people do good actions. i.e. help your neighbor, poor people etc.

so I dont really see a problem about your cuntry"s church attendance, if they are worry about what is going around the world and are trying to help at least a little bit. but if instead people are selfish and just worry about themselves, maybe it will help a little if they become more spiritual rather than religious.

Wow! When's the next flight to Denmark? That's where I'd love to live! A religion-free paradise, if you'll forgive the paradox... :-)

I think it's great that the people feel comfortable in making their own choices about their lives without having religion forced upon them.
