My partner needs to get to the airport for his work at any time of day or night, he doesn't drive so we wondered how easy it would be to get to the airport from Portobello, Edinburgh to the airport.

Well it's over ten miles each way by the shortest route! I don't think there are any special cycleways on the route. So I would suggest- Portobello/Abbeyhill/Princes Street/ Haymarket?Corstorphine Road/ Glasgow Road/ Turnhouse.

I'd be taking a bus!
