I've gained 35 pounds over the last two years, but before that I was really fit. I used to work out 5 times a week, and I made healthy food choices. I know I can't start off by working out the same way I used to, but what should I do? How do I recover my former fitness levels without hurting myself?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

-Start out slow and build back up to the level that you were at before. Depending on your age it may comeback quickly. You have the knowledge of how to workout, so just ease back into it for a few weeks and listen to your body's signals. You'll know when you can start hitting it hard again. Good luck.

Start out slowly and work your self back to your old schedule. Just take your time don't go wild and think that you can gain everything back over night. I think that you will find that you will recover faster if you do.

Go to a gym and talk with a trainer and get yourself on a regular program. Remember: start off slow and work yourself up to regular speed.

Thanks,
