I am very upfront in my personals ad that I don't drink. However, guys are always wanting to meet for a drink. I know they are talking about alcohol because you usually don't say that if you are meeting for coffee. I have nothing against drinking, I just don't like it and find it unwise to do on a date with someone you just met.

asking to go out for a drink is just a simple way of askign someone out. don't be a priss and tell them you don't drink so you can't go with them. ask if they could meet you for lunch one day instead. after all, just lunch is safe, and you have to get back to work. where as a drink or dinner could put you out the rest of the evening.
