I have a 8 year old dachshund. I was wondering how long they live.

I had a regular Dachshund that lived to be 16.

HI My son's mini dachshund is 14 years old and is doing well.
She runs with my 2 dachshunds and plays outside with them.
That's when it isn't too cold out for her.
Your little friend will do just fine. Give her lots of love and play with her too..

Cute breed, aren't they. My little Dachshund lived to be fourteen years old. She had problems with her hip for the last two years or so.(Dachshunds are prone to that.) Although she only lived fourteen years in life, she'll live forever in my memory.

There is a huge range for healthy dogs, anywhere from 11-16 years.

I've had quite a few of them in my life. My oldest lived to 17. Your's has many happy years ahead! :)

Most dogs live about 13 years, but smaller dogs live longer then bigger dogs...

i don't know i have a mini dach who is almosta year old. she will be a y/o on October 21
