Yes, generally when a Muslim girl dons hijab, she's making a lifetime commitment to it. There are certain situations in which a woman is pushed (sometimes forcefully) to remove her hijab or something similar (for example the hijab ban in France). This does not mean that we wear constantly, even while showering, lol! We only wear it in public and in any situations in which men who are not our family or husband will see us.

Using hijab is a very personal commitment. There is no problem if u use it sometimes and sometimes not, but the best is to keep a homogeneous behavior trough ur life time
Remember, the most important is to be wear with modesty and not to cause the lust of guys so they respect u. That is what it matters.
