hi all ,bying a new laptop soon and the one i have seen runs on xp media centre , are these any good??? would like to hear good and bad points please ... thanx

xp media center is basically the same as xp pro only with added features, such as a dvd player and stuff... if you want to go with xp pro tho, there's a program called Media Portal. it's free and has most of the functionality that media center has.. but if you want to be really cool, format your hard drive and install linux.

This computer has the XP media center and I love it. Never tried xp pro, so i can't really give an informative comparison.
