well i like this boy at my new school but i think he might like someone else... what should i do?

Talk to him, become friendly (if you're not already), if he's going to like you this should be enough to make him realise how cool you are. It always helps if he knows you like him because that might give him that extra little push he needs to ask you out. And if you don't want to wait for him to make the first move, you can always ask him!

Well, it really depends on how well you know this boy, and how well he knows you. If you know him, make him tell you if he has a girlfriend, or a secret crush. If not, then make one of your guy friends, go undercover for you, and have him ask him, and come back and tell you. That way, nothing is actually that complicated between you two. Be honest. Tell him you have feelings for him, and ask him how he feels about you. If he's interested in someone else, then continue to be friends with him and someone else will come along who's good for you.

talk with him, get to know him, flirt, and maybe ask him out on a casual date. if he's a guy that's even worth trying to get, he'll be gentle about it, whether or not he's interested in this other girl.
