I always do my own highlights, as well as family members, but I don't know how to do plantinum highlights. Is there a special bleach or mixture that I have to do to achieve platinum highlights?

you need 40 vol peroxide.....and a really strong bleach...either blue or white bleach...purple doesn't have enough lift....you might have to bleach it twice...especially if your hair is darker...
And you have to use a toner to get rid of the yellow tones...try miss Clairol platinum toner or any toner with a violet base...sold at sally's with the rest of the supplies you need

You have to bleach to a pale yellow, rinse then tone with a violet toner level 10.

umm buy the kanye west cd (platinum already), and get a highlighter..and we good too goo!!!
