Picture of my homecoming dress and shoes: http://img66.imageshack.us/img66/4779/dress2qe7.png

How should I do my hair? My hair is dark brown and a little below shoulder length, wavy, with layers and sideswept bangs. My face is oval shaped. I plan to wear a *black hairband* to match the thick bands on my dress and I want to look mature and a little mysterious, not childish. What would you suggest? (photos and styling tips are appreciated)

I think your should wear the hairband, and leave your bangs out. OR you could put half of your hair up in a bun, and leave another half down, and keep your bangs out.

Check out some pictures on ivillage.com, they have lots and lots of great updo photos that any good stylist can use. Make sure they use the "idea" youwant becasue you won't always get the same exact hairstyle as the picture, but it will help you and your stylist be on the same page, so there won't be any tears! Good luck and Have Fun!!!

Its sounds like your hair is a little like hers....best I could find...you could incorporate a head band with a few of these styles...just print a pic to bring to your hairdresser
