this is a very unknown asnwer. for generations people have debated over this asnwer. i have a cousin that is more like a sister, there are step siblings, close friends all called brother or sister. biblical scholars have often argued that in the translation of the verse about ' is this not the carpenters son, are not his brothers.... the debate is that the word translated actually meant - cousins.
we know that while Joseph was Jesus' step or foster father, he was not his Father.
I do not believe that Mary had other children.
I question, if she had, why would Christ, in His dying moments on the Cross have to tell John to take Mary as his mother and that he was now her son? Since Joseph was most likely dead, the woman at that time would have to live with her children (unless they were wealthy & she could live on her own). Why did Christ have to entrust the care of His mother to someone other than a natural sibling - because IMO there weren't any.

The Gospels definitely talk about Jesus's brothers and sisters on more than one occasion which is why most christians accept that while Mary was a virgin until giving birth to Christ she must have had more children.
Catholics however (and some biblical experts) mantain that in middle eastern cultures at that time families where "patriarchal" in the sense that the oldest living man of the family usually the grand-father or great grand-father led all the offspring as a sort of tribe and thus cousins were sort of considered and often reffered to as "brothers". Such a situation is still prevalent in some middle eastern cultures to-date and is therefore a plausible explanation.
My opinion: Is it important? Does it differ Jesus's holiness or his Earthly mission in any way?

Mary had several daughters and sons after she had Jesus. One of His disciples was His half brother named James.

fred,
MATTHEW 13:55
55 Is not this the carpenter's son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
I think that this answers your question precisely and gives you the name of his brethren too.

,
I don't think that Mary had children after Jesus . Jesus had
siblings, but they were Joseph's sons with his first wife,(step
brothers)
